VSX-74TXVi features THX Select 2 A/V Receiver featuring HDMI, i.Link, and Advanced MCACC with New Phase Control Technology. The goal is simple; create the multi-channel audio experience that the studio engineer intended for you to hear in your home. The VSX-74TXVi was designed to do just that and more. Building on a long history of innovations in amplifier designs the VSX-74TXVi’s new Direct Energy Bipolar 7-Channel powerplant delivers 140 Watts to all 7 channels with absolute detail, power, and efficiency. To harnass all of that raw power, we’ve gone to a whole new level of digital signal processing with a new and improved Advanced MCACC calibration system, Burr Brown 192kHZ / 24-Bit digital to analog converters, new Phase Control bass management, and new Standing Wave compensation digital technologies.
With so many new digital A/V devices available today, the VSX-74TXVi was built for connectivity. That’s why we equipped this receiver with HDMITM digital inputs and monitor output. Now, a one-wire connection can send hi-definition video and multi-channel audio from HDMI equipped cable boxes, satellite receivers, DVD players, and even next generation game consoles to your new HDTV digital television. The VSX-74TXVi is also equipped with i.Link (advanced digital audio interface)for the absolute best in multi-channel audio transfer. Everything stays digital and you’ll have far fewer wires to complicate things. Want some more connectivity? How about XM® Radio Connect and PlayTM and Ready for iPod® connections. Both of these highly popular digital audio formats are now in the home and easily controlled from the VSX-74TXVi’s remote control with complete On-Screen Display. We’ve noticed more and more custom applications happening out there so don’t worry, the VSX-74TXVi is more than capable with complete discrete RS232c and IR command codes easily downloaded from our Custom Installation Support area of this very website!
